Ecuador: Verifiable information:
Just a correction.
The correct address is ecuaassist.com.
Ecuador: Containers again !!!:
Do I need a permanent resident visa, as opposed to a standard visitor's visa, to import a container with household goods.
I am getting contradictory information and would like to see what members on the forum have experienced.
Ecuador Welcome Forum: Airfare Question:
I'm facing the same problem next year, flying from Montreal to Quito.
I have checked with Copa airlines and they were clear that showing a bus ticket, in my case to Columbia, the cheapest being about $80 single, at the check in desk in Montreal will be acceptable. This seems to be the cheapest alternative.
I cannot verify if this approach will work at Quito customs, but from what I understand, they are not too concerned, but I cannot see why the Columbia ticket should be OK in anycase - alternatively you could try booking-in using the automatic machines !
Ecuador: Migraine:
Has anybody had experience of available migraine medications.
Ecuador Welcome Forum: Medications again:
I have searched previous messages and get conflicting opinions as to whether medications are included, or not, in the Government health system.
Can anyone please advise which is the case.
Ecuador Welcome Forum: Prices of goods:
I am trying to get prices for furniture, fridge, washing machine, dryer etc in Manta, prior to moving from Canada
What web sites that are available only show the goods but no prices !!
Any help please.
Ecuador Welcome Forum: One way entry into Ecuador:
I intend to visit Ecuador next year, using Copa Airlines, with the intention of staying and getting my PR visa during the 90 day visitor visa period.
I have noticed that unless I have a PR visa, I cannot enter the country unless I have a return ticket. If I buy a return ticket and do not use it this will presumably cause problems, and expense.
Any ideas please getting around this problem.
Ideally I do not want to get the PR visa before leaving Canada.
I'm glad I saw this notice before arriving at Quito.
Ecuador: Cats:
For those flying to Equador and using the soft bag option ( for the cat ) to be taken in the cabin, that the ongoing flight with Copa, from Panama, necessitates a hard form of carrier and the cat to booked as luggage into the hold. Another added problem.
