Jamaica: considering move to jamaica from us:

Ok, so please be gentle with me as my husband and I have done little research on making a move to Jamaica. My husband and I and our children would be relocating to Jamaica from the United States. My husband has Numerous years in law enforcement experience and I myself have nursing and laboratory experience. We would both truly love somewhere near the beach if not ON the beach. I'm just looking for a little feedback on things like living expenses for renting or owning a 2 + bedroom home/apartment/townhome and average kinds of living expenses we may incrue living here, areas that we may need to stay away from with children but also what areas may just be appealing to our family. Any and all help and advisement would be dearly appreciated. Thank you so much!!
