Hi, The 8K USD includes your living expenses ? or is it plus expenses ? If the later 8K is OK, you'll be able to save a buck... If living expenses come out of the 8K, then I'm afraid you'll just break even... Life in KSA is cheaper than the west, gas is almost free, food, clothes and services are really cheap... A good one bedroom compound apartment will set you back 60-80K SAR (not sure of the USD exchange rate) per year ! Not sure of the car prices, but they are cheaper than the US.

Saudi Arabia: Any recommended Compounds for Riyadh - July availability:

Hi, Unfortunately the top compounds are full and there is a very big waiting list... I've been trying to locate additional accommodations for coworkers with no luck... Compounds like Al-Hamra, Cordoba and Arizona can cost up to 85000 SR per year for a single bedroom apartment, villas go much higher... You can probably find a nice sedan for 1500 USD, but mind you that you will need an Ikama in order to rent. If you plan to stay in KSA for a long time, it might be better to consider buying a car instead of renting !

What can you do ? Getting a worthwhile job in Greece might be a bit tricky ! If you have a good trade, you may find something nice to make a living, but don't expect the same pay as in KS. Crete is nice, people are friendly, nice beaches for the summer... Many other nice places, Corfu, Santorini, Myconos, but jobs are hard to come by in those places... For a better job your best bet is the mainland...
