Bermuda: Water and electricity, wifi:
Hey,
I've got a connection with Cablevision and they seem to be pretty good so far in terms of reliability and access. You can shop around for deals especially if you're coming here to work for a bigger company (corporate discounts).
Water is included as part of my rent which is quite useful though for electricity last month I ended up paying about $100 in a single person household with the aircon on for almost the entire night some nights. I am sure others have had different experiences.
Hopefully this helps.
Bermuda: Honesty Needed:
being a single person with that salary i think you'll be fine. the biggest chunk out of your paycheck as you can guess will be towards the rent so I'd advise looking around more judiciously to find something which offers some semblance of value-for-money. Often hard to find here on the island but it is possible.
Bermuda: US to Bermuda- single 40yr Female-Social/Dating:
i will have to agree with everyone else on this thread. even from a man's perspective, the dating scene is Bermuda is quite dull and non-existent. Most people come here as couples of families it seems and things are extremely clique-y and gossip-y so if this is something important to you I would advise you to look elsewhere sadly.
Bermuda: New Expat on the Island!:
Hey,
I am an expat in my male,mid-late 20's who's moved to Bermuda recently.
Keen to meet people outside the work environment. What are people's recommendations for meeting other like minded-folks (aside from just at the usual drinking holes everyone seems to speak about at work). Interested in exploring the island etc. if there are other newbie expats around.
Let me know. :)
