Portugal: 10 year tax holiday:

We have just come back from Portugal and have decided we want to move and live in Portugal. We are both retired U.S. citizens. We are not at all familiar with the ten year tax holiday in Portugal. Could someone please help us out with some current information on this plan? We will be collecting social security and have limited income from our IRAs. I am 66 years old and my husband is 69. Thank you for whatever information you have.

Portugal: Portuguese Golden Visa:

My husband and I just returned from Portugal and while we were in Lisbon we spoke with a local realtor who said that prices in Lisbon and in Portugal in general were going up because a lot of Europeans are starting to buy homes in Portugal. In the Algarve, Lagos, it was a little different there were so many condos on the market, It is a buyers market at this time. The listed price is very negotiable.

Portugal: Good Restaurants reasonably priced in Cascais:

My husband and I will be in Cascais for one week from 12/28/2017. We are looking for a few recommendations of good restaurants in Cascais or Estoril. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Portugal: looking to rent for one week in cascais or estoril:

My husband and I are arriving in Lisbon on Dec. 28th and we are looking for a one/two bedroom apartment to rent for one week. If anyone knows of any rental in this area it would be greatly appreciated. We prefer the area of Estoril or Cascais or something close by.

Portugal: Scouting Portugal as our retirement destination.:

Hi, Thank you for your input. We have been to Portugal before and we really liked Cascais, but that was twenty years ago. We were in the Algarve at the same time for New Year's Eve. We were wondering if you could recommend a town that was between Cascais and the Algarve where we could spend some time. We love the ocean, restaurants, museums, cafes. etc. Thank you.
