Ecuador: Ayahuasca Ceremonies:

Here's a totally different topic for the forum that I find highly interesting. Ayahuasca Ceremonies that are performed mainly in Peru but in Ecuador also. Just curious if anyone has experienced Ayahuasca, ever attended a ceremony or has any knowledge about this concoction made from roots and flowers that goes back (from what I've read) for thousands of years.

Ecuador Welcome Forum: Ecuadorian Soc.Sec.healthcare for expats:

Google say's : Health care and health insurance options for Ecuador expats changed dramatically at the beginning of 2014 when the government allowed legal residents to join the country’s Social Security (IESS) health care program for a monthly fee. José Carrasco Hospital in Cuenca has upgraded its diagnostic capability since 2007. New diagnostic capability José Carrasco Hospital. Before, choices for foreign residents were limited to private health insurance plans with in-country or international coverage. The good news, then and now, is that private health insurance costs a fraction of what it does in other parts of the world, including the U.S. I checked a while back and private insurance covers pretty much everything, Hospital, Doctor visits, Dental and meds. I don't remember exactly but it was around $50-$60 per month.

Ecuador: ***DHL Advisory***:

Hopp, I very seriously feel for you and HOPE you get those meds soon. I take something similar (a friggn' Benzo) and as you and I both know has very serious consequences when abruptly stopped. Susan knows a little of everyone it seems so hopefully she can speed up the frucked up process with frucked up DHL.
