Panama: 'Who's it' St Gib:

Go back and read what this boring person has to say about the simple facts of how to live in Panama. Look at how many ways he/she can help you buy into all the so called biz going on in print here. Lots 15min. from Bq and 15 to David. And the big dumb down about "salt air" being a problem at this mysterious location. Also I can build you a home for $144.00 per sq.ft. Then I have been in the transport biz for 50 years? It has been some months since Vol 357 has chimed in. I hope you keep your chin up, being all in for 15+ years sir. Regards. Dunnee.

Panama: New household shipping service in Chiriqui.:

St.G, Gosh how old are you to have 50+ years in int shipping. Not long ago you went on about being a construction engineer. Also you make your own beer and wine. Now saying there is salt in the air while living near Dolega, Chiriqui? Buyer beware. Regards.

Panama: Purchasing Property in Panama:

170,000.00 USD for a 1200 sq. ft. home in Panama, not in a water view city HighRise is just insane. Do not buy into some 'who's it' here on the exchange. You will see soon enough when you spend a little time looking around. There are so many nice places to live here in Panama. Take your time and you will be fine. Regards. Dunnee.

Panama: CA Loonie vs USD:

@ .75cents to the USD it hard at this time for our Canadian friends to move to Panama. Is there a bright side for the move at this time that I can share with those waiting to make the move here from Canada? Regards.

Panama: Kidnapping in Panama:

Land owner 15+ years in Panama. last week over a meal a person new to me went on and on about a home invasion. So I asked where and when did this happen. Answer; somewhere in Chiriqui 4-5 years ago. So if you read between the lines of this string of post above it is plane to see who should not live here and those of us who bought and do make it work, in the neighborhood, if you will. Regards.

Panama: Chainsaw worker per hr.?:

Looking for a chainsaw guy to clean up around the place while all is dry in Chiriqui. I will pick up after the job is done. Regards.

Panama: Fishing Friends:

I live off the Volcan Rd. Don't have a boat but would join in a fishing group. There is an inlet 20 min. out of David where you can get in on a half day last I herd for $600. Could be Paradise Fishing Lodge? With 4-5 people that would be a kind price once or so per month to stuff the freezer. Gas is low now so that may help. Hey Hey!

Panama: 100$ for your signature, friendly nations visa application:

A law firm told me to go for the PanamaTrust not the Corp. 'it is less complicated'. So I looked around on the net and found out that this Trust is tied into your tax base and needs to be included every year for the life of the Trust. No thank you. The price came to around $10,000 over 20 years plus the rise involved with maintaining it is unknown from day one with a yearly payment to the State and law firm. That firm 'forgot' to mention these facts. Best to have income from your home country to walk into a life long 'tourist visa' or buy income property here as an 'investor visa', when you are ready. Regards.

Panama: Looking for reasonable long-term monthly rental:

david-d I gots a SWEET 1 bd=rm for $1995. usd. Swear to god no kidding! Oh and 'old pro' told us he-she lives in CaNaDa not in PaNaMa. Am I the only one who smells a skunk? g-wiz people.

Panama: Getting around by bus:

Albrook is "the" main bus terminal of Panama. It is larger than some airport terminals I have been through, no kidding. When using the bus system here I carry an umbrella, for the afternoon rains or when the sun is too much if I plan to walk around. Soon you will meet a taxi driver you like and that works out fine for bringing home the groceries and such. Regards.
