Ecuador Welcome Forum: Where to stay in Quito, historic area ?:

Hello, we are going to be in Quito in a couple of months on a Saturday and wanted to go to the market in Otovala. We only have two days and then we leave for the coast. Where's the best place to stay in Quito to take the bus to the market? We're thinking of the historic area but is it easy to get a bus from there? Or should we stay by the airport? I just can't get a good picture from the map Online. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forem and I've just read everyone's messages. I'm wondering whether I want to visit Ecuador at all now! International living makes it sound so great but only hear is rain and cool weather and no hot water. Are there any nice places on the coast that would be good to visit in October? My wife and I were thinking of coming but now maybe we should switch to Nicaragua ??
