Hi Guys! Finally Booked! Las Terrenas for 12 days id November. I need some help from you that living there. How much are the Price Fares of the Motoconcho? Have Las Terrenas (from the Center to the Sea) , walkable distance? Any suggestions for where go to eat? Local Restaurant not Michelin Stars Restaurant. And one more IMPORTANT thing: I HATE the CORIANDER/CILANTRO... is it easy to order food without it? Thanks a lot :)

Dominican Republic: Invest in Certificate and Current Account in DR/ Las Terrenas:

Hi guys! As an expat looking to relocate in Las Terrenas soon, I would like to know if anyone of you that live in DR  invested in Certificate in local Banks. I red that interests given by Dominican Banks in CURRENT ACCOUNTS are quite higher than European Banks or also Asian Banks. Do you think that you can have a good return? I know that the problem can be the inflation and the exchange rate in case in the future the person want to transfer back the money in the original currency but in case a person decide to live there and  consider DR as home, this problem can have less importance. Any comment about this matter is very appreciated . Thanks again

Dominican Republic: Are the crimes in north coast increasing ?:

Hi! I was just reading some on-line news and I was surprised in how many foreigners was killed in 2016 in areas of the North Coast. For example one Italian guy lost his life* in LT in September, a couple in Cabrera in May , and more others.* To me it appears that these people lost their life for little money.... and this is really sad. I know that in DR there is a huge problem with the poverty. Many people suggest to keep a low profile when visiting or living in DR, what is your opinion on this?* What do you think you guys expat there? There is an increasing of criminality? Do you feel safe or unsafe living there?Thanks everybody.

Dominican Republic: Relocating advice needed:

Hi to everyone, We are a couple that want to relocate in DR in the near future and we would like to know your suggestions about the location. Our basic needs are: 1- market and stores nearby (to buy food etc if possible also international products without using car to reach them) 2- must be a town not too small but not too big (we hate too much traffic) 3- place where it is easier moving by bicycle or walking with dog 4- Banks available in the area 5- Low crime rate 6- expat community (we are Italian) 5- Hospital or Small Clinic available in the area 6- Vet clinic in the area 7- location on the sea. Looking in the forum, we found that maybe Las Terrenas, Cabrera, Puerto Plata could be an interesting place. More than one option is welcome.

Dominican Republic: Moving to DR:

Hi to everyone, i am not living in DR, but i was curious why it' s necessary to earn or to have at least $ 1200 every month, to live in a third world country. With the same amount of money a person can live in Italy for example. or in a place with much better infrastructures. Why is it so expensive? Thailand is less expensive for example. comments are welcome, because i am interested to relocate and DR can be an option. Thanks Fiocco
