Trinidad & Tobago: USA pensioner wants to retire in Trinidad. Part two:

Thanks for all of the responses. I will answer them all here. Yes, I have been to trinidad. Three times. And each time for at least three months. I am just finishing up a twenty year circumnavigation in which I spent a lot of time in each of over 40 tropical countries. I understand trinidad and I understand tropical living. I like tobago and think I would like to retire from retirement there. If I change my mind, well, I still have my boat. So.....what I was hoping for from this site was advice on how to go about it, not why I should not do it. Thanks.

I am a 70 year old American citizen with a comfortable, but not princely, pension. I would like to retire to Trinidad but cannot find information reference obtaining legal residence status. Any info or experiences would be much appreciated.
