Hi folks! i am planning to move to belize early this fall. i will come in about 6 weeks to check out the scene... i am attracted to the cayo area... any good pdople out there wanna help me figure out where to plant myself? any communities need a fun and socially justice minded lady to join the ranks? i am more of a simple life type and not looking for luxury living in terms of fancy housign and amenities (i mean... the natural environment of belize provides luxury enough for me!) if i seem like your kind of lady please connect with me!

hi! i was considering driving but i was warned that it is very unsafe to do so... would a woman with a few kids not be ok to drive through mexico? none of the folks who have warned me not to do it have actually done it themselves... (go figure)

Hey! i will be moving my family to Belize in 2 weeks! there are a lot of us (black americans) there. the town i will be in is called San Ignacio but there are plenty of us all around the country. there is also a facebook group which i can invite you to join if you message me your faceboon info! belizean folsk are nto like americans in regards to dogs... so expect your dogs to be treated like animals and not like part of your family. many homeowners dont allow dogs in the houses so that may prove a challenge if your dogs are used to in home living. if you join the fb group i am sure someone can advise you on a great location for you. San ignacio (where i plan to settle) is quite inland. blessings!
