Philippines: Coal Power Plants:
Just read about the heavy coal production in Bataan has resulted in the severe pollution of the area and the destruction of the coastline and of the sea bed. And the killing of human rights defender Gloria Capitan in Mariveles. Do you guys know about Coal Power Plants in the Philippines. Are they frequent, do you know how many, where are they situated? I need to find a place to move where those Coal Power Plants are non existant.
Philippines: E:
Still have plans to move to the Philippines in two years or so....Now I just had a look at List of earthquakes in the Philippines ....WIKIPEDIA. This is a terrible reading. Quakes seems to happen everywhere, causing a lot of damage, and there are so many quakes listed. How do you guys in the Phils live with those facts. Is that "just one day at a time" approach or have you been living for a long time in your place, ten years or more, and nothing happened? If yes, where do you live? The only safe island I know of seems to be Palawan. Am I right? Would be great to hear your opinions.

Philippines: Coal in the Philippines:
Just read about this on the Internet; "Saying yes to coal plant construction, Batangas city council leaves dirty legacy", Coal currently accounts for a third of the Philippines’ energy mix. This is very sad and as I understand the effects of coal is everywhere in the Philippines. Or am I wrong? Still trying to find a non-polluted area to live in the Phils. We have children going to school, so it must not be a place in the middle of nowhere, but a town or outside of a town with no coal pollution. Is there such a place? I still have some hope....
Philippines: Roxas city:
Just discovered Roxas city in the Internet....wow....would like to retire there....and then I realized that this an area where the tyfoon Yolanda hit and caused disaster in 2013. Now my question is how does this affect the people living in Rochas today, how does this affect foreigners wanting to live in this beautiful area? To me it's a real problem. What are your thoughts, do people just think "it happened once and it won't happen again" ...or what. Would you yourselves have second thoughts about settling down is this area? Could you protect yourself from a new typhoon in any way. Could you build a typhoon secure house? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Philippines: Puerto Princesa 2017:
Would be great to have your opinion about PPC now and for the future. Is this a good place to live for a foreigner with children? Trying to find some houses for sale or rent on the internet, but not much seems to be found, in fact very few houses. Still no real estate agents in PPC? The city seems to be very flat, is that true? Do foreigners mostly live in a special area of the city or not? Any information about living in PPC would be much appreciated, thanks!
Philippines: Pollution:
I've been to the Philippinea a few times and have some plans to move there from Europe with my wife. Yesterday a friend of mine brought up the issue of pollution in the Phils. To him it would be impossible to move to the Phils because of pollution problems. My friend is used to fresh air. I never thought aboute this issue really, though having noticed the problems in Manila of course. To my friend the pollution problems in the country is gigantic. Would be great to have your opinions.
Philippines: Family member visits:
My philippino wife and I live in Europe, planning to move to the Phils in a few years. Lately my wife has second thoughts, because of future privacy issues. She has 11 siblings (and two parents) and in the philippino culture it would be OK for anyone of them to come and stay in our house for longer periods of time according to my wife. What is your opinion, experience? Any ideas how to avoid this issue? Thanks!
Philippines: muslim %:
Hi, any info about 2016 % of muslim population in the Ph? What about the percentage increase every year? How many muslims will live in PH 2020? 2030? Any idea about the catholic culture vs muslim cuture, will the catholic culture stand strong in the future? Would be great to have your opinion, thanks.
