Thailand: Itinerary Suggestions:

The past message was quite detailed and probably helpful enough. But I am just suggesting something more simple. What is more important the natural beauty or the beautiful woman(that would determine where you should go.(some beach areas have less of the later.) Anyway 5 weeks: Spend 1 week in Thailand: Koh Chang, Koh Samed then move down to Phuket; Koh Phi-phi and other islands. The reason I suggest these particular Islands is because not only do they have beautiful beaches but they also are rather Hilly/small mountainous islands that provide great backdrops and all have great beach pubs and restaurants. The towns before u get on the ferries to these islands are ok, but stunning. --(check out Koh Samed before you arrive to see how it is operating now, as there was an oil spill on one side of the island earlier this year, but they say it's ok now.) After u finish in the southern area of Phuket/Koh Phi-phi, head on to Malaysia: with a little research you will find they have great coastal/beach towns. Then take a flight up to Vietnam(southern Vietnam is supposed to have stunning beach areas) Then I do suggest you check out Myanmar its supposed to be uninterrupted and NOT overdeveloped beach areas(and is safe) then finish in chiang mai to bkk for ur return.

Thailand: Moving to Thailand, and need help :P:

hey if u want to stay here on a tourist visa you can--it will just involve so day trips and occasional overnight trips to laos. email me--and i will explain.

Thailand: confusion with flights:

I am speaking as an american--holding a US passport. But I believe our two countries will be held to similar regulations. I was able to obtain a 3 mos visa from the thai consulate in usa with a one-way ticket and board and arrive in Thailand with NO problem. 2 times i have done this in the past two years. So you will NOT have a problem boarding the plane(especially since u are coming from UK) The only time this MAY be an issue is if u tried to get a visa from another country-for thailand. so bottom line---don't worry about it.

Sweden: Moving to or getting some income while in sweden:

I would like to come for a long stay--possibly move to Stockholm at the end of Febuary. 1) Do you think an American who does NOT speak Swedish can find a job 2) Or is it possible just to find some work for a couple months--without having to get a work permit and allthe hassle involved?

Sweden: Is it possible for an American to work in Sweden?:

I read that is was quite difficult for a work permit to be granted to a US citizen as ALL other EU countries have prioirty. But IS IT POSSIBLE for me to obtain work in Sweden(IS IT POSSIBLE to work for a short time w/o a work permit?)

Thailand: Starting a Dining Group:

Awhile ago I saw a post mentioning about starting a dining group. I LOVE trying new restaurants in Bangkok and have tried many ok-to GrEAT restaurants here. So it would be great if we could get a group going and experience these foods while having great conversations(or complaining session :) about life in Bangkok. If anyone is interested post here and I will email you back if a few people reply. I personally and a 36yo ex-culinary professional from New York City and now I am teaching english in Bangkok. Hope to hear from many people :)

Thailand: Currently Living in Bangkok-but want to stay in Phuket for october:

I need to find a reasonable place to stay and hopefully so english camps or some sort of part-time income for the month of october. I am currently teaching in bangkok and looking to stay there during winter break.

Sweden: Americans moving to Sweden:

hI==AFTER reading your post here about living in sweden. Just wondering if you have any updates. Have you been able to find any work yet? what permit are you there on now--still tourist or what? I am coinsidering a long stay(possibly)relcating in march--but since I do NOT speak swedish--i know my options are VERY VERY limited.

Thailand: I am an American going to Thailand as a tourist but want to find a job and move there.:

I am leaing on October 24th. Right now I only have a 3month tourist visa. My questions are: 1) I need to find a job, I have a degree in Culinary with several years of New York City experience. I also have a Bachelors degree in Communications/Mkt with advertising experience in Washigton DC. 2) How difficult will it be/or is it possible to go from tourist visa to working visa w/o having to leave Thailand? 3) If i need to renew my tourist visa while still in Thailand, can i just go to Laos or Vietnam or some nearby country and re-enter Thailand to get another tourist visa for 3 more months? If so, how many times can i do that?

Thailand: Information on Thailand Needed? Let me know:

I will be moving Bangkok at the end of September. I will NOT be moving there for a job, but once I get there I will need to find a job. 1)I work in the restaurant industry/cook and would like very much to work for a big hotel--any suggestions or possible connections? 2)Will it be difficult to get a sponsor? 3)What kind of Visa do I need to get NOW? Thank you so much.
