Chile: Planning to move to Chile:

I'm in my early 20's and am planning to move to Chile, Santiago area, in a couple years to work as an EMT or health care provider. Can anyone help me out with ideas for a place to live? I am interested in living somewhere where I would be in close proximity to locals or other Chileans, whether than be in the same apartment, a house, or some type of dormitory. My main concern is getting to know people my age when I arrive. Thank you! Jake
