Colombia: Englishman in Ibague:

So,'I'm wondering if there are any English people here in Ibague. I'm from Manchester and have been living here for 3 years now. I have a girlfriend and son here so I will be getting my resident visa and cedula soon. Most people seem to be in bogota, Medellin or Cali and I haven't seen any foreigners here in Ibague at all. I was wondering if any English / foreign people know of any Jobs ? Or have their own businesses and need an English speaking person to work for them ? I'm also interested in starting a small business with someone if anyone has plans / ideas ? I've been going back and forth to England and working for a few months but I really need to find work here now and settle. My Spanish isn't good at the moment and as you all know the wages here are poor so I was wondering if anyone knows of any or has any opportunities ?

All you need for the appliances is a step up transformer it's no big problem. I agree on the shipping though , I recently got a suitcase sent over which cost an initial £80 which I was happy with . Then I had to pay £120 tax and vat once it arrived :-(
