Ecuador: Living in Salinas:

Hello to all. My wife and I are looking for a place to call home for the winter months and I have seriously considered Ecuador. We live on the coast in New England and must have a place with a beach and ocean access as we are beach and boat people. I realize that Salinas will be more expensive than other places in Ecuador but it seems to have everything we are looking for. We are considering buying a condo on or near the beach and need to hear from people who live in Salinas. Links to sellers or developers will help greatly. Also information on the transition to the Ecuador lifestyle, health, travel, food, safety and the like. I have ordered Ecuador, The Owners Manual from International Living so I am serious .
