Pokhara has a street festival with food, games, etc. for several days inclluding New Years eve. It is great fun and runs late on the 31st.

Nepal: Expatriate:

It is possible to buy property not as a foreigner but as a business, Private LTD. You can be a sole owner of the business-business not house. Otherwise you would to need a Nepali relative or friend buy and trust them. You could also marry aNEpali and buy in their name. I know of no way a foreign citizen can own property outside these ways, there maybe other ways but I don't know them. Alon

Nepal: Work in Nepal:

Welcome. I live in Pokhara and have for the last few years. I have a friend who works at King's College Language school. The language school will get the visa. Pay is low, so most people have some resources of their own. Just find the language schools and apply or look in the two Englsih langauge newspapers classifieds. Most jobs are in Kathamandu but Pokhara also has schools and jobs. Good luck.

Nepal: Getting Visa and buying property:
