I've been offered a job in Venezuela. I'd appreciate, if you could answer some questions about Venezuela. Is crime really as bad as I've read? Is it that much worse than in the US? Would I have to live behind metal bars or something, for fear of getting robbed? What is the infrastructure like? e.g., water, electricity, roads... Is the cost of housing a lot more affordable than in the US? Can foreigners own property there? (Yes, I will be taking at least one visit there before moving.) Thanks.
