I have recently moved to Israel and would really like to meet with other ex pats in Tel Aviv. I don't yet speak Hebrew and am finding it very difficult to find out information here...any suggestions?!

Hi there, I'm not sure if this email is a little late considering the date you posted it, but I can probably answer some of your quetsions. Re. the rudeness - it is simply an honesty and not one, in my experience, to fear or be concerned about. It is not a rudeness directed towards individuals, just a general manner. RE. places unsafe for US ex pats, I haven't heard of any but there are common ex pat areas..I'd have to investigate these properly if you want to know. I've recently moved from the UK and live in the centre of Tel Aviv which is fine. If you are in Israel or plan to come and would like to meet - please let me know.
