Thailand: Getting settled in: Credit Card, Bank account, Car Insurance, babysitter! ah!:

Hi folks! I'm sure this is a super lame request (I've been reading some of the other content here and you guys seem like the experts!) I've just moved to Bangkok with my husband and 3-year-old. We're going through that period of complete transition - trying to figure out banking, insurance, getting a car (and driving this crazy city!!), babysitter. Is there one place with information on these, or any specific places? Credit Card info is especially helpful since today I went to the KTB bank (the blue one) and had a tough time communicating my needs. Thanks! Hello everyone -
