Belize: Placencia/Hopkins Points of Contact:

My wife and I are planning a fact finding trip within the next 3-6 months and would like to start a list of contacts in Placencia and Hopkins. Email addresses would be great. Those are the 2 areas I have kind of narrowed down to search for a retirement home. Caye Caulker and AC would be next but looking at cost. Not interested in Corozal thank you. Belize: Work after 1 year QRP?:

We are considering moving to Placencia in a few years and understand rules change. But currently, if you come in under the QRP program, are you disqualified from working after a year? Difference I see between QRP and tourist who gets citizenship is the moving of household goods inport tax being waived immediately under QRP and only after citizenship you'll have 1 year to bring household in.

Belize: Chiropractors in Belize?:

Fred, Is living full time on a boat feasible in Placencia? I guess if you want a/c you'll be running a generator with gas at $4/5gal..Do you have any contacts for boaters? Thanks, Tom
