Jamaica: Nissan Note for Rent:

Hi everybody I'm a swiss national currently living in Kingston, Jamaica. However, I'll be leaving the Island for couple of months soon. Jamaica: purchasing a car:

Most places will accept a manager's check or cash. To get a manager's check it's best you go talk to the banks directly, I can recommend First Global Bank (at Manor Park for example). I'm sure they will help you. However be careful when buying the vehicle, there are a lot of dishonest people at work in that sector. In my experience, they wanted to trick me and sell me a 2007 car as a 2008 model, then they wouldn't free up the vehicle even though they received the manager's check already, just a lot of headache before I actually could drove out the car. In the end though, I got a quite good vehicle at a reasonable price (unfortunately cars do generally cost too much in Jamaica). Good Luck
