Malaysia: What's the weather like in KL?:

I live in New York City and am looking into a potential move to Kuala Lumpur. Everything I have learned about Malaysia is great and I want the move to happen, but what I have read about the weather in Kuala Lumpur makes me nervous. In particular, I have read that the heat and humidity can be unbearable. Could you please comment on the heat and humidity levels in KL? If a person who is not used to such weather is living in such a climate full-time do they get used to it? Summers here in New York can get hot and humid, and if its no worse over there Ill deal with it in exchange for the benefits of living in KL. Thank-you very much for any input. Move
