Ecuador: Car & Scooter Importation:

First Post, so apologies in advance. I have the opportunity to move from USA to Ecuador very soon. (UK Citizen) Costs of vehicles in Ecuador look to be expensive. What's the rules on car importation & rough costs all in. I also have a 1974 Vespa 150 Super I'd like to bring. Any ideas on company's who could get them through the paperwork mire, with an estimated cost to compare to buying locally. Is there a lease option typically for vehicles available. Houston to Quito would be route. probably only intend to stay 2 or 3 years. cheers for any advice jst001

I have a 12yrs old border collie with UK Pet Passport & up to date USA vaccinations. I also have his original crate he flew from Scotland to USA. Can anyone recommend companies to assist with any documents/shipping options and an idea on costs from Houston to Quito. he is getting a little old and worry also about the altitude effects on him. any guidance appreciated. jst001
