Panama: Road between El Valle & Penomene:

I drive it all the time. Coming out of El Valle it is quite steep and windy for about 5 minutes but not bad after that. There are 3-4 possible routes but the easiest (but not the most beautiful or fastest) is just to stay straight on the road. It will save you 10-15 minutes and I think its more interesting than the hiway. Don't leave Santiago on a low tank of fuel BTW.

I wouldn't see why not. Bear in mind that mortgages must finsh by the borrowers 75 birthday. And banks here are more conservative, lending only up to 75% of value. Appraisals are more conservative too.

I visited 5 stars and I couldn't stand to be there 5 minutes. The fear from the kids was so clearly palpable. It is very authoritarian and seemed like an unhappy environment.
