Portugal: medical Coverage for SEF:
I know I've seen the answer for this somewhere here but I can't find it.
Do I need to purchase travel insurance before I come to Portugal or do I purchase it once I'm there ?
If I purchase travel insurance (i'm looking at on insure my trip) what would be a minimum coverage?
Portugal: which passport to use?:
I have dual citizenship Polish/USA. I was wondering which one I should use to book plane tickets for the move. Some advice that i found is to use Us while living US and UN passport while entering the PT. I'm not sure what that means in practice and which one I should use when.
Maybe it doesn't matter and I'm being overly cautious. :)
Portugal: Pet Hotel Near Lisbon:
We are thinking about bringing a cat with us to Portugal. I was wondering if there is a pet Hotel near Ericeira or Lisbon that someone can recommend. Thank you
Portugal: Storage at Lisbon airport:
From previous post I learned there is a storage at Lisbon airport. I can't find anywhere how big those are. I'm looking for a pace big enough to store golf clubs. Have anybody know the size of the lockers?
Portugal: TAXES IN PORTUGAL:
Would anybody know what is the tax situation with profit distributions from LLC located in US? After reading the agreement between US and PT, and talking to the US accountant I'm under the impression that income received from such source is taxable in US and has to be only reported on PT tax return.
Does anyone have a an accountant near Lisbon area that can be recommended?
Portugal: resident Visa and EU Passport:
I understand that this topic has been talked over many times but my situation is a little bit different. My husband is American and I have a Polish passport. I've been told by the consulate that he doesn't need a residency visa because once we are in Portugal and I will register as a resident and he will be able to get a resident permit because we are married. I didn't think twice about and we are making plans to move soon but I've seen some posts about consulates giving people wrong advice. I was wondering if anybody here was in similar situation. Thanks
Portugal: Financial Means Test/Subsistence:
Would Bank statements from US bank be enough? Do they have to be notarized?
Portugal: Ericeira:
My husband and I are looking to move early next year to Portugal. Ericeira is the top place that we consider to live in because it offers many things that we are looking to do. The most important is surfing :) Also there is a health club which has tennis courts (I also noticed some rental apartments come with pools and tennis courses which is a plus), a pool hall (billiards), grocery stores, restaurants. It doesn't have a train or the golf course. I've looked into Obidos CC but there are quite expensive. It seems that there might be some cheaper choices around Lisbon.
I was wondering if there are any trails for mountain bike raiding since my husband is considering shipping a bike?
The weather for us was good (both times we visited in Spring) but we are not looking for super warm and sunny. It is windy and it makes the spot quite popular with kite and wind surfers.
Good luck with your search
