Nicaragua: kids and schools:

We are looking to move in about a year and a half. We will be visiting at least 2-3 times before.. We have two kids 8 and 9 and wonder about schools there. Local, private? Not sure where we will be living yet and schools will help us figure that out. English speaking would be nice, but not necessary. smaller is better. And if anyone homeschools in addition to local schools? Thanks! Melissa

Nicaragua: The New Canal:

I've been reading a lot about the proposed canal which has me concerned for the eco systems etc. of the country. Does anyone have the inside scoop as to whether this is off the table now or not? Thanks!
