Chile: Moving to teach English with husband and two year old:

My daughter wants to get certified as a TEFL teacher and move to Chile with her family. This is almost all of my family leaving from the US and she has always gotten homesick just a few hundred miles away. How difficult will this be for them? What about buying a home?

Thank you for the great information! My daughter, 23, and her husband, 28. are planning on going to Chile early next year with their two year old. My daughter wants to teach English as a second language. They have never been there and have the fantasy of falling in love and staying. They are selling their first home now after only a year and already hate being broke here! They just have no idea what they are in for, and they don't yet speak Spanish, though they know a little. My daughter wants to live in a van, lol. I just don't see them being able to afford it. I will get my daughter to join this forum for sure!
