Laos: Gap Year:

Hi My 17 yo son would like to spend a year in Laos, working, volunteering and exploring in 2018. Can anyone give me any hints on how to assist him to achieving his dream. We have looked at populate NGO sites but they want extraordinary fees to participate. We have family in Vientiane who can offer some support. He will have completed secondary schooling in Australia, will have a minor business certificate and has a car and bike lisence. He has worked part time in the fast food industry for several years saving for his gap year. He speaks only English. We have holidayed in Laos and he would love to be able to further explore and also offer voluntary help in any firm to the wonderful Laos people.
