Mexico: Who here is heading to Lake Chapala area?:

Hello!! I'd like to follow along with your adventure because I too have been thinking of the Lake Chapala area. I was wondering, I know that the Mexican government has some restrictions for how much income a resident has to live on. Has this been a problem for anyone?

Mexico: Puerto Vallarta real estate listing prices:

Just throwing in my two cents worth which isn't based on anything other than watching Buying Mexico on HGTV. The buyers offer a significant;y lower price, then the counter sometimes will come up some. So, so it looks like some great bargains can be had.

Mexico: Gas stations closed:

Why are gas stations closed? Holiday? I've heard they had a jump in prices but nothing about actual closures. Please inform us if and when you find out something. Thanks!!

Mexico: Anyone familiar with the Alamos or San Miguel de Allende area's?:

Hi, I'm just doing all my online searches of area's in Mexico. I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with either of these areas as a possible landing site. Things I'm looking for is cultural heritage, expat community, affordable living (living on $1240 SS), climate not too hot or too cold. Or appreciate any recommendations.

If this helps, I just looked this up. https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/in/Cozumel-Mexico?displayCurrency=USD

Mexico: Move automobile?:

You caught my attention when you said it was an interesting drive down. So, you did it. What can you say about the drive? Pro's and Con's? How long did it take you? Places to stop at night and places to avoid? Thanks for your input!!

Mexico: Saw another dead body tonight.:

Hi Nelson, I jut read your post and PV sounds like a good place to initially set down some roots in Mexico. I'm interested in how your drive down from the states was? Did you bring belongings with you? What route did you take and how safe was it? Things to avoid? Thanks for your input!!

Panama: If Cost of Living is top of mind:

That link doesn't work. Can you try another?

Hello!! I'm just reading through some of the posts you mentioned you drive down?! From the US I take it. I'd like to hear how that trip went for you. I live in Washington state and would consider doing the same. Just would like to hear what are the pro's and con's. Thanks in advance!

Mexico: Moving into the Chihuahua region:

Hi, I would like to move to a high mountainous region, preferably near or on a lake. Is the Chihuahua area a good choice? Would like something closer to the US border so I can drive down. Thanks!!
