Portugal: Importing U.K. Car:

Has anyone imported a car from the uk? My understanding is that you can have the car in Portugal for 3 months. Then you need to go through the process of registering it or I suppose have it registered in time for that 3 month date. I understand that there is no cost on your 1st import. However if you wish to import more than 1 car then you will pay the import tax on that and any further cars. Does anyone know how this calculated. What is the % you need to pay if it works like that? Also I imagine it's not as simple as driving over the border and back every three months so if a car can only stay 3 months without registration than how long does it have to be out of Portugal before it can return. Hi. My family and I are moving to Portugal soon in loule. I have a salt water marine tank system that I want to bring. However they need a lot of work and supplies so would rely on a nearby marine fish shop but I can. Othi g of the kind on line. Portugal: Dogs on beaches:

Hello. We are in the process of moving to loule. We we have two dogs whom we are bringing with us. We love dog walks with the kids and whilst I do not expect to be able to walk along any of the main beaches in the summer with the dogs whilst everyone is enjoying their holiday. I was wondering if anyone knows of any dog friendly beaches or if you can enter or the main beaches with dogs during the winter months. Muito Obrigardo.

Portugal: Advice on Shipping Household Goods to Portugal:

Hi. This is interesting I just came across this. I have a house in Portugal and have just booked a shipping container to leave the uk and go to my house in Portugal I haven't applied for the residency card yet as it's a holiday home. However I do intend to do so this year as I will be moving there and splitting my time weekly between the uk and Portugal. 5 days in Portugal 2 in uk. Yes I know a lot of flying but hey! So will I have an issue with my container then considering I do not yet have this card Cheers Dan.
