Panama: Buying Cellphone on Visit to Panama:

I'm planning 45 days travel in Panama this summer to evaluate different cities where we might live for a year. Current US cellphone providers Verizon and Sprint are "dodgy" about buying a new cellphone here and then transferring it to Panama service. Any suggestions about buying a cheap cellphone for the 45 day visit--cost, usefulness throughout Panama, etc.?

Panama: How and Where to Open Panamian Bank Account While Visiting Panama:

We're visiting Panama this Summer for 4 weeks to look for a suitable location to live. We'll make "the move" from California this Fall. We read about opening accounts in advance of the final move but would like to know the experiences of others recently. Any "international banks" you found particularly welcoming or hostile? Were you able to actually open your Panamanian account while on a visit [tourist visa]? I"m sure there are more questions I should ask. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks.

Panama: Apple iPhone coverage:

Planning to move later next year to Panama with a close friend. For Xmas i planned to purchase an Apple iPhone 7 Plus for her use now in California. How good is the coverage in David and Boquette? She's an artist and sends photos of her work.
