Portugal: Minimum stay for permanent residency application:

Hello all - Thanks for the wealth of information here. Very motivating and invaluable reference! I am trying to find more information about minimum physical presence requirements in Portugal in order to qualify for permanent residency after 5 years. I couldn't find much in the forums about this, One article mentioned that travel out of EU cannot exceed 10months within the 5 year period. Wondering if I could spend 7 months per year in Portugal to satisfy the tax residency and the rest of the time outside . Will that jeopardize the permanent residency application after 5 years?

I also have the exact question regarding minimum stay per year in Portugal to maintain residency and apply for permanent residence after year. I actually just started a new post before coming across this one..apologies! Hope someone has more information. I couldn't find anything specific on SEF website.
