United Kingdom: School for 1 year with travel:

Hi there, We will likely be moving to London this coming summer. We have two boys, one who will enter 8th grade and the other who will enter 5th grade once school starts again in the fall. We will be in England for 1 year total for my husbands job. His job will have us traveling aroudn Europe to different offices for a couple weeks at a time and we would like the flexibility to go with him. We also want to make sure our kids get to know other kids. So even though I like the idea of homeschool to make travel more accessible, I also worry about the lack of socialization. Any tips? Are their any schools around London that cater towards this type of student? If I homeschool, are their groups of homeschool families that work together to help kids meet friends? Also, our older child has some special needs that a school will have to help with...he is fine to be in a regular classroom, but needs some one on one attention due to learning issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

Italy: Move to Italy for 1 year:

Hi there, My husband and I are looking to move our family (us and our 2 kids) to Italy for 1 year. I have reached out to the Italian consulate in San Francisco and they told me that it wasn't possible. The said we either need to be on a work or student visa. I asked about the Extended Residence Visa and they said that is only for people who are retired and relocating to Italy. Do any of you have advice on how we can take a year off from work and move to Italy? We have the financial means to prove we can do this. Thanks!
