Belize: Where to get shampoo etc.:
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.......
he's (5allan1) just a disgruntled old chap here to spew his negativity, seemingly due to his having been officially asked to remove himself from the country years ago.

Belize: Beaches in Corozal:
You might also look into the Consejo Shores area. We've been researching properties in that community/area and it looks like there are "seaside parks" that have some sort of beach area. It looks like Consejo/Consejo Shores is only about 10 minutes north of the town of Corozal.
Hope this is a help.

Belize: Those Posting Not Living In Belize:
Thanks for the post. I think you speak for many of the happy positive folks out here.
Belize: Golf Cart Permits on Caye Caulker:
We are seriously looking at Caye Caulker for our retirement move. We've done extensive research on the country in general and Caye Caulker specifically and feel CC is the place for us. We'll be doing a 12 day living experience on CC April 18-29 to confirm our interests.
Our research has us leaning towards the South Point as our desired place to move, which is about as far from the town center as one can get on the southern part of the island.
Our research has also informed us that only residents may own a golf cart permit, to keep traffic to a minimum, which we understand and support.
What we were wondering is if there is a "medical exception" to this rule for non-residents? Is it possible, by providing official Dr's reports, for someone with difficulty walking long distances, to apply for a "medical exception" to own a golf cart?
Any advice/information is appreciated. Of course, we know we will find the answer when we visit in April, just doing some advance research.
Belize: Hopkins:
We are spending 12 days in CC and have day trip to AC. We have rented a car for a day to explore the mainland and are trying to decide if we're going to go North to Corozal or South to Hopkins if we had to choose one which would you recommend ? The intention of our trip is to see if belize is our choice for retirement. Our hope is to come in October and rent somewhere for 3 months or more. From our extensive research Caye Caulker is our first choice.
Belize: Where to fly into:
Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City is the major airport for the country. Most major airlines that serve Central America have flights into BZE.

Belize: Guide/ Expat Expert:
I have no idea who "FoolOnTheHill" is, I posted this comment under "LorraineWard12" This is Brad, Lorraine's partner and we had the call with "BradInBelize" yesterday and recommend you contact him via a private message and schedule a phone call, it will be time well spent!
We had an hour + long telemeeting with "BradInBelize" yesterday and can wholeheartedly recommend you follow through on his offer!!!
We are considering a move to Caye Caulker by the end of 2017, with a 12 day trip there in April to check it out. Brad was able to address ALL our questions and inquiries about life in/moving to Belize, living on the "cayes" and areas on the mainland to consider as options as well. His knowledge comes from firsthand experience living in Belize and is most helpful, genuine and on point with other information we had gathered through other sources.
Do yourself a HUGE favor....contact "BradInBelize", you won't be sorry!
