Bahrain: Lawyer in Agadir corrupt:

Hi my Dad passed away 11years ago and he owned an property in Agadir and he also had back accounts with money in them. I hired a lawyer from Agadir to help me but what a journey I have have so far. It went from year to year with different excuses. I was only able to travel over once a year due to work and family commitments. I wanted to get rid of he but he kept on saying it wa nearly finished. I contacted a house agent to help me. They were French and have the property sold a few times but the lawyer kept holding the sale up. I wanted again to take it from him but he would not hand over the papers until I paid him €20,000. I did not have this money until the house was sold. Last September he sold the house unknown to me and did not use the house agent or solicitor that I wanted. I gave not received any money and don't know what to do. He tells me my money is in the courts and he has taken his fee, which is about 25% of the sale. The money is still in the bank accounts but are frozen . Can anyone help.

Hi Carmel Did you get sorted. I have a problem with an avocat in Agadir. I hired he to help with my late dads Affairs. I gave he permission to act on my behave but he sold the property below the market price (to a friend of his I think) unknown to me. He has taken his fees and fees for a selling agent and solicitor which I don't think he used. The balance of the money is in the courts as I don't have a bank account as I am not leaving in the country. He is not answering my emails or calls Michael
