Spain: Family Friendly Barcelona:

Hello! I am looking for any advice as to which neighborhoods are the most family friendly in Barcelona for renting an apartment. My husband and myself (interpreter/translator and public school teacher in the states) are hoping to rent an apartment for a month this summer with our two children (ages 3 & 4). We are looking for the neighborhoods that would most suit a family (safe, close to transportation, parks or beach close by etc). We will be going for the a vacation while looking for possibility to move permanently in the future. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
