Italy: Best / Worst Airlines:

We have flown Meridiana the last two trips direct from JFK to Naples and then JFK to Palermo. I think they only fly to one northern Italian city. Not sure which one. The flights were always packed but the prices were extremely reasonable. No complaints.

Italy: Immigration Lawyers in Italy:

Hi Roberto, I have a question. I was born in Naples, Italy to American citizen parents. My Dad was in the Navy and was stationed there. My goal is to establish residency in Italy after I retire and then apply for Italian Citizenship. I have read that it takes a year of residency before that can happen. What type of Visa is best to apply for to achieve that goal? Also, I will make approximately $4,000 a month in retirement income. Is that enough to live on in Italy? Will the Italian officials approve my application based on this? Thank you for any help you can give me. Lucia

Italy: permesso di sogorno:

I will retire soon in the US and want to apply for a visa that allows me to stay in Italy long term. Do I have to wait any length of time while collecting my retirement income before applying for this visa? I would have to show proof of being independent financially but how many months should I wait?
