Costa Rica: New to CR by marriage, need help and advice:

We used a lawyer that used to be with ARCR, but broke off and works independent. It cost us $3626 for the 2 of us. He kept to his original amount and never tried to get more. We received our Expediente in 3 weeks, and received cedula in 9 months. I never one time called to bug them. We do not order on-line or have stuff shipped here. We came only with 5 big suitcases. We had no interest in having a bunch of 'stuff' shipped. Many people spend thousands and thousands of dollars to ship a bunch of, what I have seen when entering their house, I would say junk. But I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Costa Rica: Grecia:

There are places you could rent for 4 months in Grecia where you could do the things you want to do. We live here and do not have a car and walk everywhere. Look up grecia real estate.net and you will see pics and prices of rentals. He will show you what is available if you decide to come next year. All you have to do is book in b&b for one night or if you arrive very early in the day he will show you rentals available then and you can be in by that night. Not hard, and no big deal.

Costa Rica: Where to live in the Central Valley:

We live in Grecia near downtown and are totally comfortable. We don't think of temps in terms of centigrades - but is in low 60's at night to mid 80's during day. We try to be inside mid day hours as I would anywhere. But often are out and I use hat or umbrella because sun is strong and not good for skin mid day anywhere. Some people find that too warm and move up the mountains a little. It is too cold for me. I feel like I am in heaven in Grecia.

Costa Rica: To good to be.....practical?:

Why not spend some time reading the many blogs on many subjects that have already been answered and written in the past. Your questions have been answered in many ways, many times.

Costa Rica: Slow loading?:

Yes, Kohl. Much slower than normal. Last night I tried umpteen times and gave up. Finally poked on the site this morning from another day and went a bit faster. But kind of like a turtle stuck in the mud.

Costa Rica: Pensiado Visa:

I am assuming Floriday meant Florida. We also lived in Florida. But if I remember right, just pull up on google or wherever, address where to send to get done. I believe it was state capitol.

Costa Rica: Cell Phone / Hotspot:

I don't know how long is 'awhile' but using a cell phone much could get quite expensive. I don't know where you are staying, but if you could, better to use a Magic Jack. But need to bring with you. Can't get here.

Costa Rica: Bus from San Jose to Grecia:

About an hour depending on traffic. The area around bus stations are a little precarious especially if you don't know where you are going. Suggest you take a taxi to bus station if your hotel is not too far away.

Costa Rica: Remote medical coding from Costa Rica:

I don't know and have not done it. But understanding a little about it, it may be a really good idea, if the hospital or doctor will approve.

Costa Rica: Sustained income stream:

If I were single, I could live on between $1100 to $1700. That is the truth.
