Do many expats actually live in Bolivia? Almost no recent posts. Wonder if completely untenable for American to move there or some potential? Certainly very inexpensive but barriers to settling there insurmountable? Just curious.

There is antipathy in US and anger against whites by Hispanics. A friend of mine, born here and college educated, feels that brown people have been disrespected and said 'the shirts are going to come out'. Do you get this cultural reference? Its naive to think the same sentiments don't exist in Mexico. Those of us that don't buy into blanket condemnations need to try to rise above this.
