I have never been there but will plan to visit soon and then move there in a few years. I don't take the negative comments serious at all and I am certain that other mature adults won't either. I do agree that the negative people just need to stay away from this blog

Belize: Coming to Visit Belize in May 2017:

Hey Guys, I am 38 year old Army vet who wants to move to Belize. In May I am coming to visit and do some recon. I do not want to see the tourist area because that is not where I want to end up. Are there any Expats/Vets who would be willing to meet with me over a Beer, maybe show me around, and answer some questions I might have?

Hey Martin I have not moved there yet but am planning right now. You will be more than fine with your income and should be a able to find a nice home in cash and add money to your savings. I am not sure about car prices but I know that gas is rather expensive

Congrats on your rating. I was medically retired last year in July after 13 years. I plan on moving to Belize in about 5 years. I am in college right now and want to finish and work for about 2 years and put that money aside for getting down there and buying some land and property after being there for a little renting a house. I have a wife and 5 kids so I need to plan ahead and plan carefully. I have never been there but it sounds just like what my family needs. To get away from the rat-race here. It would be so awesome to have a few Vets down there by the time I arrive
