Kenya: Should I freight my furniture or buy locally in Nbi:

Our family of 4 are looking to relocate in Nbi for a period of 2 yrs. we are hoping to find a furnished apt to rent. Just incase we can't find what we like, would it be worth using a freight company to ship our furniture or cheaper to buy local furniture? I was looking at Furniture Palace and just a full bedroom set is about Kes 400,000/- A Living room set cost Kes 400,000/- I'm not sure what to expect with shipping my goods - will I have to pay duties? We are born Kenyans. I would love to connect with anyone that has moved from Canada and learn from your experience. Thanks FazzyFay!
