Uruguay: Security:
One of our reasons for moving to Uruguay would be safety for our family. What levels of safety and security should we be aware if both in town and rural areas ? Bearing in mind we are coming from South Africa
Uruguay: Beds and curtains:
What are bed sizes/dimensions in uruguay ? And what curtain rail systems are common ?
Uruguay: Teens:
Is there much in Montevideo or Punta del este for older teenagers to do on weekends
Uruguay: South Africans:
Any South Africans that have moved to Uruguay in the last 2 years that would be able to send us a list of the pros and cons of RSA vs UY ?? We are in such turmoil about moving and hear so many different stories ! We will most likely live in the rural areas as we are farmers. My husband is 45 and I am 41, we have 3 kids aged 17,16 and 12 years old.
Uruguay: Schools:
Do any of the public high schools in the rural areas teach in English ??
Uruguay: Language:
I would like to know just how much of a problem not knowing fluent Spanish is in the rural areas of Uruguay, as well as in the cities ! Can you get by with translations from your phone as well as basic language skills in Spanish ?
Uruguay: Building:
I need to know what services are available for building houses, for example built it cupboards, fitted kitchens etc. And are most builders in the main cities ? How easily accessible is hardware in the smaller towns ?
Uruguay: Meeting:
We are coming to Uruguay on 22 May, and hoping to meet with any South Africans that know something about farm life in Uruguay ! We are staying in Atlántida for 4 days then out to the farming areas.
Uruguay: Boarding school:
Can anyone tell me if there are international boarding schools for children aged 12 and up ?
