Costa Rica: Cell Phone / Hotspot:

I'd like to be able to stay on top of work while in CR for a while. Can anyone recommend the best cell phone set up. I'll be in the Monteverde area and currently have a iPhone 6 through Verizon. How is the coverage? Any good hacks for getting around roaming fees. If I was going to switch service carriers or phone brand. What seems to work the best? Anyone have experience using their phone (or other device) as a hot spot to access the internet from a laptop? Thanks!

Costa Rica: Santa Elena / Monteverde:

My wife and I are considering moving to Santa Elena / Monteverde for 10 months. She would be teaching at a local school. I'd like to find a part time job to make some extra money. I'd be interested in almost anything. Construction, farming, teaching english, etc. I have beginner level Spanish but am willing and excited to improve! Any leads? Is there a of Santa Elena / Monteverde specific blog or facebook group? Thanks!
