Bulgaria: Car insurance while moving:

Hi any help gratefully received. We are moving to Bulgaria next week so phoned UK car insurance to give a months notice so that we were covered for moving journey and could then register in bulgaria. They made me cancel our insurance on the date we leave next week as not covered if you are not returning to UK in 90 days. Any advice on how we get car insurance for journey down? Have looked at temporary insurance but must start and end in UK?
