United States: Not Being Taken Seriously:
We are US citizens. We travel lots and live in other countries. We currently live in New Mexico. There are endless places to rent here for what WE think is a decent price. You're having some kind of weird problema. Contact these folks and you should have NO problem. Buenas suerte.

Nepal: 1-2 Bedroom Flat needed (Thamel area):
Just an observation........ since you haven't received any replies........ I do not live in KTM but I have spent a couple months in the area and I HAVE researched living and moving there and I do have friends living there: $150 a month "may" be enough to live as a roommate with some other folks but I do not think you'll find what you're asking for. Sorry. That's just my observation, that's all, so please don't take any offense.
Costa Rica: U.S. Taxes On Money Taken Out Of Country:
We don't know anything about the HIRE Act but I can tell you that we opened an account with HSBC in Mexico about 5 months ago. We move money (thousands) from the USA to that account regularly. We had no problem opening it. We've not heard a single thing regarding any special tax on the money we're moving. We'll follow your blog as it progresses just in case we're in the dark and we need to learn something!
Nepal: House in Rent in Kathmandu.:
We may be interested. We are currently in the USA but will be leaving here on April 1st. Do you have a photo or two you could send? Allen and Judy (azye@aol.com). Namaste...
Nepal: Considering to move:
I love Nepal and have seriously thought of moving there. I've decided to move to Mexico for a few years and then reconsider Nepal. I even started to study Nepali, including the written scriipt. You don't mention if you have visited Nepal or not. I would HIGHLY recommend spending at least a month or so visiting there before you do anything else. Namaste.
