Bahamas: Least expensive way to get items shipped to Nassau:

I'm relocating to Nassau at the end of April for work. I'm not shipping household or car,,just clothes and personal items. I was told by people within my company to just take suitcases (even if I fill 7 suitcases) and take them on the plane with me. I will be flying from the US. I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this? Is this the least expensive way to get my belongings on island? Thanks in advance for your input. Expatrelo4966

Moving to Cable Beach and looking for info about the best service for a cell phone (is it still only one company as an option)? Also will be make calls back to US, what's the least expensive program or way to do that? Thanks
