Hi Jola, Johor won't be very friendly if you aren't from there especially to foreigners. Alot of them speak Malay or Chinese. Since you have kids you should be looking to stay in places like KL near polis stations and definitely gated. I would strong suggest moving there and renting or buy a property in a gate community.
