Panama: Yellow Fever certificate advice:

Hello everyone I am in dire need of some clear advice regarding entering Panama. I am a UK citizen, and recently went on a business trip to Rio, Brasil. After 5 days in Rio, my next stop should have been Panama City, for 2 nights. However, after checking in to my Rio-Panama City flight (online) I noticed a warning message about the Yellow Fever certificate. After contacting the airline about this, I was told that I would be refused entry to Panama as all travellers arriving into Panama (from Brasil) must have the Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. So my plans were changed and I had to return home to the UK. Now that I'm back in the UK, I still require to visit Panama City. I intend to fly UK to Panama City soon. But before I do, I need an absolute guarantee that I do not require this YF certificate. My concern is that because I have a Brasil stamp on my passport (dated 27 March for when I arrived in Brasil), the authorities at Tocumen airport may not permit me to enter the country - even though I'm a British Citizen and will have travelled directly from the UK. Many thanks for reading - all advice and information most welcome!
