Hello My name is Chris. I was born in Nakuru in 1942. My first memories however are of Dar-es Salaam where my father worked for the East African Power and generating system. We lived near the power station and I remember many days playing around the district: the beaches along the creek, the army camp, Oyster bay, Nsasani, Njamwema. I went to the Primary school in Dar and then my parents shipped me off to the boarding school at Mbeya. My mothers family was from Nairobi; her brothers were Laurie, Freddie and Alec Campling.
